LED filament is currently the LED technology that comes closest to the old Edison light bulb. On the one hand, the filament rods look much more like incandescent filaments than the small LED chips, but they also emit light in a similar way as they are not surrounded by disruptive electronic components.

We offer this high-quality dimmable "Parathom" lamp from OSRAM's "Retrofit" range as a universal introduction to LED replacement lamps. Matte light sources emit soft light. The shadows are softer. A matt light source is recommended in opal or satin lamp glasses because of the better light distribution.
